Online open mic slots available

A brief break in the posts about 16 days to share that I’ll be hosting Mimi Khalvati online on 11th December,7.30pm-9pm. Mimi will be reading from her latest Collected Poems (Carcanet,2024) which has just been published. This is a chance to come together and celebrate the work of one of the most important poets writing in the UK today, someone who has influenced many poets of her own generation, but also younger generations as well. I know Mimi has been influential in the writing of poets like Malika Booker, Hannah Lowe and Maitreyabandhu to name a few off the top of my head!

If you’ve never been to one of these online events before, they are really friendly, enthusiastic spaces where people gather to listen to each other and to the guest poets. If you can, please spread the word about the event to your friends and family - it would be wonderful to have a huge audience for our end of year event.
